As the commercial and training arm of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), CERT’s core mission is to design and deliver world- class programs to develop the nation’s workforce. We aim to deliver economic and strategic value to the UAE through our commitment to Emiratization by upskilling and re-skilling the UAE workforce across federal, local government and semi-government organizations.
CERT has trained over 30,000 UAE Nationals over the past two decades across different industries and professions, combining immersive and impactful training delivery methodologies, practical, job-oriented education and career success. We are committed to delivering the highest standard of excellence, fostering an environment where all learners realize their potential as valued members of their organizations and the wider society.
The Work Readiness Program:
Work Readiness Program was established by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs in collaboration with HCT/CERT. The program prepares UAE Nationals for the Workplace. It runs over a period of 4 semesters. The first year is a foundation year. The second year focuses on specializations; and is designed to provide learners with one of three streams, Business, IT skills or Basic Technical skills. During the fourth semester, WRP learners put their newly acquired skills into practice as they complete 8 weeks of on job training. The program provides counseling and psychotherapy for learners and liaises with sponsors on the academic, social and psychological needs of the learners. Upon graduation, WRP learners are awarded the WRP ENJAZ Certificate
The National Training Program – Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization
The National Training Program is a government initiative in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, with the goal of qualifying 18,000 Emiratis for 30 job roles over 3 years. CERT has been mandated to source, assess and train the candidates for this program.
Train for Work Program - Mubadala
The Train For Work (TFW) foundation program is a joint Emiratization initiative of the Mubadala investment company and Human Resource Authority, with the Center of Excellence and Applied Research and Training (CERT) delivering training 1200 UAE Nationals. The program allocates 6 months of contact training followed by 18 months of on-the-job-training (OJT) where employment contracts are secured for all the trainees who successfully complete the program.
National Development Program – Sharjah National Oil Company
CERT was entrusted by SNOC Sharjah National Oil Corporation to design and deliver their National Development Program (NDP). CERT contributed to supporting SNOC’s Emiratization strategies and plans, enhancing Process Operations, HSE and basic Mechanical skills to optimize the services provided by the entity.
EXPO Generation Programme – EXPO 2020
The EXPO2020 Generation Programme was designed to provide relevant consultation experts and assessment tools to enhance EXPO 2020 selection, recruitment and potential development of the event management staff being prepared to join the operations and event management team during Expo 2020, Dubai.
Employability Readiness Program (ERP) - ENOC
CERT delivered an Employability Readiness Program (ERP) for ENOC, a large-scale energy sector program of National Importance, integrating City & Guilds qualifications in technical fields, complemented by English language skills and Foundational empowerment. The candidates receive City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Petroleum Operator -Process Control.
Leadership & Management Program - State Audit Institution
CERT was chosen by SAI as the Training Provider for the Leadership & Management Program to develop 100 State Auditors. CERT designed and delivered a customized program in Leadership & Management, benchmarked to ILM to the group training (total 64 hours), for SAI Auditing staff members.
